Sara’s dream is to start a summer immersion camp to teach Hupa youth the endangered Hupa language. This camp would get youth excited about learning the language through cultural activities and games, and start the process of creating new language speakers. It would also be an important step toward Sara's lifelong dream of creating a Hupa Immersion School.

"Both education and language are important to most communities but are often treated as separate issues and therefore deem separate interventions...

It is about creating a new type of education for Hupa, and Native youth more generally, so that they can succeed in all facets of their lives and identities and don't feel as if these things need to be separated or shut off in each of these spaces." -Sara
