A Message From One Team Running Strong Runner to Another

10/23/15 under Team Running Strong MCM

 Oct. 2015

Hello fellow Runners,

This weekend you will sacrifice yourself to complete an event that will push you mentally and physically. I wish I could attend this year but I have other obligations with other runners (my girls) in AZ , who are competing in xcountry meets to qualify for State. So I guess apples really don’t fall far from the tree.

Any way I just want to express myself in support of this year’s Team Running Strong. I know the miles of training and mental endurance that comes with it, having run this race annually the last 11 years. My hope is that each of get to experience the same gratification that will be felt when you cross the finish. Also to take back to your respective community that same spirit of resolve and humanity and spread the message, and know that your action will resonate farther than you can comprehend. There is a plan here at work and the lives you will touch and reach is part of that greater plan.

Your dedication and decision to take on such a task are all unique to each of you as it was for me.

Every race I ran there was different, but the reason was always the same, which was for the children.

To know the gravity and force through the efforts this organization can have is special to be a part of.

So with that I again extend my congratulations to all of you for your efforts and sacrifice. I hope you all enjoy the clip and message from Billy this weekend, one that I always enjoy and will never get tired of. Also that “Every Dream has a Passion and every Passion has a Destiny” (Billy).

So dream Ginormous and GO TEAM RUNNING STRONG !!!!

Thank You and Healthy Regards,
11x TRS Runner

Melvin Taliman Jr.

P.S. “Ordinary people know their limits. Marathoners know how to push them.”
