At 80, Billy is still “Running Strong” for Native youth!
6/22/18 under Billy Mills
Billy Mills, our National Spokes person and Olympic Gold Medalist, is turning 80 TODAY, June 30! In honor of his 80th birthday, Running Strong is launching a fundraiser for our Youth programs!
Billy co-founded Running Strong in 1986 as a way to give back to his community and to the youth. Billy and Running Strong are working to transform the current state of Native youth and empower a new generation of healthy and confident young people.
For one week, from June 30 to July 7, 2018 we will be accepting donations of $8, $80, or $800. Our goal is to reach 800 donors!
We challenge our supporters find matching donations from employers, family, or friends!
Your support will benefit our various youth programs: the Cheyenne River Youth Project, Indian Youth of America's summer youth programs, Oyate Teca's school enrichment programs, and more!
Will you help us meet our goal of 800 donors in support of Billy and those running strong because of him?
