Every year, Running Strong works with the Cheyenne River Youth Project® to bring Christmas to children living in one of the poorest counties in the United States.
On the Cheyenne River Sioux Indian Reservation, many families live in intense poverty and are geographically isolated on the South Dakota plains.
Each year, children at the Cheyenne River Youth Project® write letters to Santa about what they want for Christmas. Running Strong and the Cheyenne River Youth Project® try to get each child at least one gift from their list. For many Cheyenne River children, the Toys for Tribes toy drive is their only chance to get a gift for Christmas.
Please help us this year.
All donations go directly to the Cheyenne River Youth Project and are used by the staff to purchase toys, coats, shoes, and other items from the children's lists.
Last year, thanks to the support of our dedicated donors, we were able to reach 841 children.Â
Wopila (thank you in Lakota) for your generosity and happy holidays!

"THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE CHRISTMAS GIFTS YOU PROVIDED FOR MY SON, EVAN. WATCHING HIM SMILE AND LAUGH WHEN HE OPENED THEM WAS THE GREATEST GIFT I RECEIVED AS WELL. YOUR KINDNESS WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN." --Cheyenne River parent on the day after Christmas
