Volunteer Opportunities

Each fall we look for volunteers to help out with Team Running Strong's Marine Corps Marathon weekend in October in Washington, D.C.  All of the money raised by our participants goes directly to the programs we fund for American Indian youth.  As you are aware, running over 26 miles can be physically and mentally exhausting.  So we recruit olunteers to help cheer on our Team Running Strong runners.

We will need volunteers for our Team Honoring Ceremony held the Saturday before the race (to put together “swag bags” for runners, to hand them out, to direct runners, to help with our merchandise, etc.) We also need volunteers at various times during the marathon (to cheer on the runners, help out at our tent, and help with clean-up after). As October approaches, we will talk with all our volunteers to allocate volunteer times and tasks. Contact marathon@indianyouth.org for more information.

Please contact info@indianyouth.org in order to find out more about other current volunteer opportunities.
