Cristin's dream is to help more Native youth become dentists for their communities, by guiding them through the process of applying to dental school.

Cristin’s project willcreate a mentorship program that would bring young American Indian students who dream of becoming dentists to the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health, where she is a student, and pair them with American Indian dental student mentors.

There are fewer than 250 American Indian Dentists today, and even fewer in IHS and tribal-run clinics, so helping more Native youth become dentists fulfills a vital need.
