David Fraser Establishes Tire Repair Shop for His Community of Kyle

David’s Dream

Dave’s dream is to open his own tire repair shop for the people of his community. As the nearest tire repair shop is 50 miles from where he lives, a tire repair shop is very much needed. He feels his services would be more beneficial for his people if he had the resources to open his own business. This would be his dream.

David’s Home and Community

David grew up in the town of Kyle on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation which he acknowledges “wasn’t the easiest.”

“I want to be part of the change,” he says, which will come with starting his own business.

What motivated David to develop his dream?

David wants to follow in the footsteps of his grandfather where he grew up watching his grandfather work serving customers who needed their tires repaired on the reservation.

The Dream as a Solution

“Our roads are terrible, most of them are still dirt and gravel and only the main roads are paved,” he told us, adding, “so the need for a tire repair shop is very much needed.”

The Potential Impact in the Future

People who will need their tires repaired on the reservation in the future will not have to drive long distances to get their tires fixed.
